Once the customer has identified a Hotspot, it is very useful if they are able to purchase access immediately if they are not already subscribers, or be allowed to roam onto this service using the roaming agreements of their current Service Provider.
Connection Services provide a branded prepaid access payment gateway service. Connection Services build and operate the service on behalf of the customer.
The service consists of three elements. A web portal based storefront service will enable customers to select a number of WiFi credential products. The Service will provide the ability to control some content centrally using the Connection Services Content Management Service.
A Payment Mechanism Service to manage a number of the financial functions of the service. These include credit card authorisation, clearance and settlement. This includes the establishment of specific Merchant Identification numbers, holding bank accounts and management of the currency & credit risks during the clearance cycle. Connection Services provides a PCI conformant service platform.
The hosted service platform enables the service to operate effectively with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
